StatementCSV
Bank statement PDF to Excel or Google Sheets
Copying transactions out of a PDF statement by hand is slow. StatementCSV reads the PDF in your browser and gives you a CSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
Steps
- Open the statement PDF in the StatementCSV app. It's read in your browser, not uploaded. It detects Chase, American Express, Bank of America, Citi, and Capital One statements and labels anything else Generic. The free preview shows how many transactions it finds and the first 5 rows.
- Check the rows in the preview and fix anything that looks off.
- Unlock the CSV for $9.99 one-time and download it.
- Open the CSV in Excel, or in Google Sheets with File, then Import.
- Check the totals against the PDF.
CSV columns
Date, Description, and Amount, one row per transaction.
Good to know
- It works best on text-based PDFs downloaded from your bank. Scanned image-only PDFs may not have text to read.
- Parsing is best-effort, so always check the rows before you rely on them.
