StatementCSV
Credit card statement PDF to CSV
StatementCSV reads the transaction lines in a credit card statement PDF and gives you a CSV with Date, Description, and Amount columns. It uses one general line parser for every card issuer, so check your own PDF in the free preview before you pay.
What gets picked up
- A text-based PDF downloaded from your card account, where you can select the words. Scanned or photographed statements have no text layer, and the preview will find no rows.
- Lines that start with a date, like
01/04, 01/04/2026, or Jan 4, and end with an amount with cents, like 42.10, -42.10, or (42.10).
- Everything else, like the payment summary, interest box, rewards section, and notices, is skipped.
Things to check on card statements
- Signs. Amounts keep the sign printed on the statement. A minus sign, a trailing minus, or parentheses become a negative number. Many card statements print purchases as positive and payments or credits as negative, but layouts differ, so check a few rows.
- Two dates. If your statement prints both a transaction date and a posting date, the first date goes in the Date column and the second stays at the start of the description. You can edit it in the table.
- Year. Dates are kept as printed. If the statement shows
01/04 without a year, the CSV does too.
- Totals. Compare the sum of the rows with the new charges and credits on the PDF before you rely on the file.
Chase, American Express, Citi, Capital One, and Bank of America statements get a bank label in the app. Any other issuer shows Generic. The label doesn't change how rows are read.
Steps
- Download the statement PDF from your card account.
- Open the StatementCSV app and drop in the PDF. The free preview shows how many transactions it found and the first 5 rows.
- If the count and rows look right, unlock the download for $9.99 one-time. If it finds nothing or the rows are wrong, don't buy.
- Fix any date, description, or amount in the table, then save the CSV.
Privacy
You never enter your card login, and there's no Plaid connection. The PDF is read in your browser and isn't uploaded.
